Paige has been a Registered Nurse for 25 years in Acute Critical Care, and of that, four years in Addictions Nursing.

Throughout Paige’s Nursing career, she has encountered many sudden and unexpected deaths. When her Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, she was given an opportunity to experience a whole new aspect of death and dying. She was honored to care for her Mom for the 2 years of illness through to her eventual death.

“Opportunities continued to present themselves to me and I could not deny my soul-level desire to serve the dying and their families. I am passionate about this work and about participating in conversation about death and dying.”
She holds a certificate in End-of-Life Care and Death Midwifery/ Death Doula. She is passionate about helping patients in crisis navigate the medical system and empowering people to make informed choices. She has always been an advocate for her patients, her family and her friends.

Paige specializes in:
• Support in navigating the medical system and advocacy when needed
• Education about death and dying publicly and privately
• Personalized End of Life support for the dying and their loved ones
• Support and education about advanced health and personal planning
• Providing resources for estate planning, end of life de-cluttering, grief support and after death care and alternatives
• Providing public workshops on Advanced Care Planning and Empowerment

When Paige isn’t working, you will find her playing her banjo and climbing mountains (but not at the same time).

We asked Paige for help when our Mom was in the hospital following surgery and recent diagnosis of a terminal illness.
We asked Paige for help when our Mom was in the hospital following surgery and recent diagnosis of a terminal illness. She helped us set up resources in the community so that Mom could be discharged from the hospital and be at home where she wanted to be. We called on Paige at different times throughout our journey of Mom’s death process and she supported us every step of the way. We were able to keep mom at home for a day after she died and have our own celebration of her life in the way she wanted.

Paige helped simplify things for my wife and I when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer.
Paige helped simplify things for my wife and I when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. She came with us to our Oncologist appointments and coached us on what questions to ask, reviewed what was talked about in simple terms and clarified our options. It was comforting to have her with us during a scary and confusing time.

We are not sure how we would have managed during our Mother’s death if Paige wasn’t there...
We are not sure how we would have managed during our Mother’s death if Paige wasn’t there to be the glue that held us together as a family unit. She advocated for us and ensured Mom’s dignity was maintained at all times and that her wishes were carried out. So thankful we had her present with us.
