Carol Wang, BSc

End-of-Life Doula & Advance Care Planning Facilitator

Serving Vancouver Island (Nanaimo area) in person

After watching a friend’s family struggle with her wish to die at home, Carol realized there had to be a better way. This profound experience inspired her to complete the End-of-Life Doula program through Rhodes Wellness College. Today, she is passionate about this journey and deeply dedicated to supporting families through the end-of-life transition.

As an Advance Care Planning Facilitator, Carol works closely with Patient Pathways team members Judy Cook and Connie Jorsvik to complete Advance Care Plans for clients. Her focus on end-of-life education is a natural continuation of the many years she previously spent working in the education sector. Carol believes that creating an Advance Directive allows individuals to thoughtfully consider their end-of-life wishes and put them in writing, providing families with the true blessing of knowing their loved one's exact desires.

Having personally experienced the BC health care system, Carol is acutely aware of how challenging it can be to navigate BC Health during difficult times. She brings this firsthand empathy and practical understanding to every client she supports.

In her personal time, Carol enjoys gardening and quilting.
