Bernice is a registered nurse with 35+ years of experience in cardiac, critical care, and older adult care. She holds a master’s degree in nursing and a postmaster’s nurse practitioner degree. Her background includes supporting patients through heart transplantation and caring for people living with complex chronic conditions.

Bernice enjoys partnering with patients and families to help make healthcare decisions and consider options for the future. With a calm, collaborative style, she helps people identify priorities, navigate complex systems, and move toward goals that matter to them. Drawing on experience in both acute and community settings, she provides education, practical guidance, and trusted resources to support informed decision making and quality of life. Her experience also includes supporting patients and families with end-of-life decisions and Advanced Care Planning.

Bernice is a lifelong learner who values professional development and new experiences. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, meeting new people, and taking cooking and wine-pairing classes.
