Laura is an oncology nurse with over 20 years of experience in cancer and supportive/palliative care. Laura specializes in supporting patients and families through the cancer trajectory, from diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life care. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, specialty certificates in both Oncology and Hospice Palliative Care Nursing, and is a Master Trainer for the Serious Illness Conversation as well as a LEAP Workshop Facilitator.

Laura’s true love is helping enhance quality of life for patients and their families as they navigate the health care system through the transitions of serious and complex illness and end-of-life. As an expert in oncology and palliative care, Laura has worked in various cancer care settings including inpatient and outpatient care, as a front-line nurse, nurse leader, educator and coordinator. She is also a cancer survivor, and has personal experience as a daughter and friend.

Laura’s personal and professional depth of knowledge and familiarity with cancer and palliative care has inspired her to pursue her passion as a Healthcare Navigator. She sees it as a great honour and privilege to walk with those she serves during serious illness and end-of-life.
