  • West Vancouver Seniors Activity Centre 2121 Marine Drive West Vancouver, BC, V7V 4Y2 Canada (map)

$5, registration required here.

West Vancouver Seniors Activity Centre hosts a practical four-part workshop series presented by expert Connie Jorsvik of PatientPathways.ca .

In Part 3, we will unpack what “heroics'“ mean in healthcare — medical treatments used during crisis that aim to save or prolong life, but may involve aggressive interventions. You’ll understand the terms “resuscitation” and “heroic measures”, such as CPR or life-support treatments, and the implications of choosing to accept or decline them.

You’ll also explore which treatments you might want or not want during serious illness, frailty, or dementia, and how to communicate your wishes clearly when it matters most.
